Seasonal Change by Dane Curry #capeblogpost

Within the afterglow of a fire burning low
He sits, head in lap
Smoke wreathes his form

Alone and forlorn the night embraces him
Howl at the moon
This happened all too soon

Shake the dust off
Don the winter coat

Shielded now, from the nights chill
He breathes his fill

Stepping from light
Entering night
To make his kill
